With the year sailing by us at seemingly warp speed, sometimes it's important to stop and smell the Lilacs. Spokane is uniquely positioned in the Inland Northwest. We have four distinct seasons, each one packed with activities and events that compliment our community. May is no different, and while it seems that snow seems to stick around longer and longer every year, usually by May -- we're usually in the clear!

We've put together a list of our five favorite things to do in Spokane in May. We hope you enjoy them.

May is the month where we honor our mothers here are a few fun things to do for Mother's day this year. Whether you take your Mom to brunch, a hike, or maybe a local greenhouse to buyer her some plants -- there's no shortage of memorable experiences.

Brunch - Make your reservations early! Support your local restaurants and take your mom out on the town for Brunch. Check out these amazing Spokane Brunch Locations.

Hike - Hiking is one of our favorite things to do. With so many locations around Spokane Washington, you're sure to find something Mom will enjoy. One of our favorites is the Bowl and Pitcher.
